First ever PodCar-ST

23rd August 2006 Print
Network Q has announced the launch of the first ever PodCar-st, a digital recording which gives listeners car-buying advice through their personal audio players.

The series of five PodCar-sts have been developed in response to recent research that shows, despite being one of the most important and expensive purchasing decisions, Brits waste £456 million a year on cars that they end up not wanting.

Featuring the voice of Holly Samos, BBC Radio Five Live Formula One reporter and former sidekick to Chris Evans, the Network Q PodCar-st offers tips and advice for potential car buyers.

The PodCar-st series, available for download from www.networkq.co.uk, begins with an in-depth look into what consumers should do before purchasing a used car, tackling pitfalls to avoid and research that should be done before making any investment.

The four further episodes focus on other aspects of purchasing a used car, including where to buy, essential vehicle checks, the purchasing process and your new used car vehicle.

The series is supported by onsite interviews delivering information straight from the forecourt. It also includes a jargon buster to eradicate the confusion experienced by 95% of men and 98% of women who are bamboozled by car terminology.

Mike Brown of Network Q comments: “We realise our customers need further sources of information as well as being able to ask retailers for their advice, so we’ve made it easier for them by giving them an easily downloadable PodCar-st, which still gives great personal advice.

“With an increasingly tech-savvy customer we are providing a communication channel that they are familiar and comfortable with, offering peace of mind and making the car-buying process as straightforward and hassle-free as possible.”
