Scrappage scheme success for Autotorq.com clients

7th February 2010 Print

An online tool launched last April by Autotorq.com to maximise the benefits of the car scrappage scheme, has increased its dealer customers’ leads by over 12 percent.

In April last year, Autotorq.com, the leading provider of cutting-edge dealer and manufacturer web platform and e-marketing services, launched an integrated web tool to help its customers make the most of prospects visiting their website looking for scrappage deals.

The scrappage lead form allowed prospects to check their vehicle’s eligibility under the scheme and engaged them in order to generate a specific enquiry to the dealer. Two major brands sold by franchise dealers supported by Autotorq.com saw an average increase in sales leads of 12.3 percent.

Stewart Niblock, Chief Operating Officer of autotorq, commented, “We knew that the government scrappage scheme would generate a huge amount of consumer interest and we wanted to ensure our dealers were able to use their websites to convert this interest into genuine leads.”

The scrappage scheme has received widespread support throughout the motor industry and Autotorq.com views this success as one of many that are available to automotive retailers if they use the web effectively to capitalise on business opportunities.
