Chubb Insurance to sponsor Salon Prive Concours

World-leading specialist insurer, Chubb Insurance, has announced it will sponsor the 2010 Salon Prive Concours d’ Elegance, at the Hurlingham Club, on 21-23 July.

The agreement means the UK’s finest Concours competition will now be known as the “Salon Prive Concours d’ Elegance, in association with Chubb Insurance”.

Simon Mobey, UK & Ireland Personal Insurance Manager, Chubb Insurance, said:  “Chubb is delighted to be sponsoring the Salon Prive Concours d’ Elegance.  This is a unique event that celebrates the cream of the automotive world and our initial experience last year has convinced us to take a greater involvement in 2010.  The cars on exhibit at the Concours are typical of the cars we insure, and we’re thrilled that some of our clients may show cars at the event.”

Salon Prive co-founder and managing director, Andrew Bagley, said:  “We’re delighted to announce another fantastic Salon Prive Concours d’ Elegance.  It’s now the biggest and best Concours d’ Elegance in the UK and it has become an important event in the in the European calendar for classic car connoisseurs. We believe that the cars we’ll be gathering together this year will eclipse previous years and provide visitors with a mouth-watering visual display.”

The 2010 Salon Prive Concours d’ Elegance in association with Chubb Insurance will feature seven categories, chosen to ensure a broad range of quality entrants.  The seventh category is dedicated to Jaguar, to celebrate the marque’s 75th anniversary.  Confirmed cars attending from Jaguar’s Heritage Collection include an XJ220 V12 Prototype, XK150S Estate, a D Type ‘Long Nose’, plus the more modern XK180 and F-Type Concepts.

Alfa Romeo Pre-1940
Shooting Brakes
Hollywood Era
Hypercars 200mph+
Superbikes of the ‘70s
Jaguar 75th anniversary

The Salon Prive Concours d’ Elegance is judged each year by a hand-picked panel of experts and enthusiasts, headed by Derek Bell MBE. Last year’s event was won by Clive Beecham’s 1968 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spyder.

Part motor event, part social occasion, Salon Prive also plays host to a remarkable collection of premium exhibitors, from specialist super cars to luxury brands such as Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin and Jaguar, alongside Audemars Piguet watches, Boodles jewellery and Pommery champagne.

Salon Prive
