Redrow and Peter Alan make a winning team

Redrow is on to a winner after teaming up with estate agent Peter Alan to market new homes being built at Cardiff City’s former home, Ninian Park.

The football stadium was home to the club for 99 years until last year when it was acquired by Redrow, who began a phased programme of demolition to pave the way for a community of 142 new homes.

Work is underway to construct the two, three and four-bedroom homes in predominantly two-storey designs and home hunters hoping to score one of the new homes should make Peter Alan’s Canton office their goal.

Andrew Barry, sales director at Peter Alan, said: “We are the largest estate agent in South Wales and have worked with Redrow for a long time. We have seven offices across Cardiff and our Canton branch is just a short journey from Redrow’s Ninian Park venture.”

Peter Alan is a well known estate agent in South Wales, with 23 branches and more than 40 years of experience in house sales. The estate agent and Redrow have a strong working relationship, built up over the last seven or eight years. Peter Alan previously helped Redrow market and sell 42 apartments in Porthcawl.

“What’s pleasing is that before Redrow appointed us as working partners at Ninian Park they did a mystery shopper exercise across local estate agents and we came out on top,” Andrew commented.

“At this early stage in the redevelopment of Ninian Park, public access to the site is not possible, so instead of having their sales office at the venture Redrow has placed a representative in our Canton office. It means ‘early bird’ customers who want to find out more about the homes available at Ninian Park can come to us for details or to register their interest rather than having to wait for Redrow to open a sales office on site.”

Ninian Park is conveniently located less than two miles from Cardiff city centre, with excellent transport links. With a good range of schools in the area, it’s the ideal place to raise a family.

Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: “Ninian Park will offer a good mix of homes with something for every kind of purchaser from first time buyers and downsizers to growing families in search of extra space.”

Current availability includes a selection of three and four-bedroom homes priced from £189,995.

Rachael added: “By registering their interest now and being among the first to buy ‘off-plan’, would-be purchasers will have the chance to reap the benefits of their early investment. As well as being able to choose their preferred plot, those who buy before the homes are physically built also have more choice of the individual design touches that really make a home their own.

“And, if predictions from the Centre for Economics and Business Research* that house prices will increase by 6.5% this year prove correct, customers who buy off-plan could potentially find themselves moving into a new home which is already worth more than they paid for it.”

For more information about the homes available at Ninian Park, visit the Canton branch of Peter Alan, Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm, or log on to redrow.co.uk.
