Make your Oscar-winning debut with Canvas Holidays

With awards season in full swing and the Oscar’s on the horizon, if you fancy yourself as the next James Cameron then discover a hidden talent at Canvas Holidays’ Movie-Maker sessions.

Aimed at teens, the Movie-Maker sessions form part of Canvas Holidays’ innovative FamilyExtra programme. Covering everything from filming, story boards, editing, creating special effects, importing titles, transitions and music tracks – the sessions are a chance for budding directors, advertising executives or creative types to discover a hidden flair.

Children will be supplied with a video camera, laptop, micro phone, music and story board to go out and create a short film, music video, advert or TV show. Canvas’ experienced FamilyExtra session leaders will demonstrate camera shot techniques such as tracking, panning, tilt and zoom. The group will be encouraged to get creative building their storyboards and using special effects.

At the end of the session, children will be given a DVD to take away with them to show off to friends and family.

The price is based on two adults and up to four children with arrival onsite on 4 April, 2010 with accommodation in two bedroom, Comfort Plus mobile home.
