Are you the next Home Baker of the Year?
The Ideal Home Show is celebrating the return of home baking, and putting the fun back into baking, by launching a nationwide search for the UK’s next Home Baker of the Year.
Ever fancied yourself as a bit of a Nigela Lawson in the Kitchen, or perhaps you’re the next Jamie Oliver, or just have a passion for home baking, this year’s Ideal Home Show are looking for your recipes.
Ideal Home Show want your best home baking recipes to be entered into the prestigious Ideal Home Show, ‘Home Baker of the Year’ competition.
All you have to do is send in your ultimate home baking recipe, with a picture of your baked masterpiece, and say why it’s your favourite, for the chance to go through to the shortlist. Should you be lucky enough to be selected, five lucky finalists will then be invited to join the Bake-off final Live at the Ideal home Show on March 30th 2010.
It may be as simple as your favourite Victoria sponge recipe, your best baked bread, or a traditional family recipe passed down from generation to generation. Recipes can be anything from brand new ideas, or variations on traditional classics. The tastier- the better!
The first 100 recipes will receive a pair of tickets to the Ideal Home Show and the chance to come to attend a champagne reception on March 25th at the Ideal Home Show.
The best 5 recipes will be decided by a panel of expert judges, and go into a Live Bake Off Final, at this year’s Ideal Home Show, 30th March 2010.
The winner of the bake-off challenge will also receive a chance to be published in the Ideal Home Show’s official recipe book to be launched at the show in 2011, as well as a cake decorating course with Baketique chef Mychelle in her London based kitchen, a VIP nights stay for two at Hotel Rafayel, London, including dinner for two and a spa treatment in the hotels beauty spa.
The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16, and is looking to find the most interesting and creative recipes from entries submitted online via: idealhomeshow.co.uk
This year’s competition is being supported by MyChelle’s Baketique, London’s finest Patisserie. Baketique specializes in preparing delectable custom cupcakes and cakes.
Entry deadline is 10th March 2010.
