Taste of London to dish up more delights in 2010
Taste of London, in partnership with British Airways, will return for a seventh year to London’s Regent’s Park from 17-20th June 2010.
The must-attend open air restaurant festival is set to be even better this summer with a host of exciting features that will appeal to all.
The four day event will serve up dishes from 40 of the capital’s most acclaimed restaurants allowing visitors the chance to sample quality cuisine from around the world. Joined by 150 speciality food and drink producers and numerous celebrity chefs, the event will prove the most exciting to date.
Anna Hansen’s The Modern Pantry and Atul Kochhar’s Colony Bar and Grill are just two of the new restaurants taking part this year, joining Taste of London favourites Le Gavroche, Rhodes Twenty Four, Tom’s Kitchen and Bentley’s. Live cooking demonstrations at the Taste Theatre, sponsored by AEG, will welcome rising stars Francesco Mazzei of L’Anima and Tristan Welch from Launceston Place, both set to join culinary giants Giorgio Locatelli, Michel Roux Jr. and Tom Aikens.
Visitors will be invited to learn from the gastronomic masters at interactive experiences hosted by sponsors Waitrose and Peugeot. Demonstrations using the latest cooking techniques and best ingredients available will inspire creativity to ensure any future dinner party a roaring success.
Malaysian cuisine and culture will be on the menu this year with the fabulous ‘Taste of Malaysia’ dedicated to sharing the vibrant sights, sounds and spices of South East Asia. Discover and sample some of the world’s finest wines at the brand new Taste Wine area, where top sommeliers and producers will be on hand to guide visitors wishing to swirl, sniff, sip and savour.
Those looking for a spot of luxury will be sure to get their hands on some limited edition tickets to attend a prestigious Laurent-Perrier Champagne Masterclass in association with Daylesford Organic, where food and drink presenter Nigel Barden will introduce guests to an indulgent champagne and food matching experience.
Giorgio Locatelli is looking forward to the event: “As a chef, Taste of London gives me the chance to catch up with my friends, meet my customers and have a lot of fun doing what I love best!”
