Play safe, stay safe: Win tickets to FA Cup semi-final

11th March 2010 Print

Schools students in selected regions are being offered the chance to win a family trip to Wembley Stadium to see an FA Cup semi-final, or a Football League shirt signed by their local team.

Central Networks, the electricity distribution company for central England, is asking local school children in Years 5 and 6 to design an A3 sized electricity safety poster. Details have been sent to schools this week.

Phil Wilson, Customer Operations Manager for Central Networks, said: “We’re looking for a poster that warns about the dangers of electricity. It could be about safety inside your home or about how to stay safe outside near substations or overhead power lines.

“It’s really important everyone learns how to respect electricity and stay safe.”

The winner of the competition gets a trip for a family of four to Wembley Stadium to attend one of the FA Cup semi-finals. Six regional runners-up will receive a Football League shirt signed by their local club (Cheltenham Town, Hereford Utd, Walsall FC, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Derby County) and tickets to the FA Women’s Cup Final.

Students in Years 5 and 6 can enter the competition by designing an A3 poster and writing their name, age, address, phone number and school name on the back of the poster and sending it to: Carl Henshaw, Central Networks, Herald Way, Pegasus Business Park, Castle Donington, Derby, DE74 2TU.

Entries close Friday 26th March 2010.
