Ryanair launches boarding card advertising

16th March 2010 Print

Ryanair has announced that it will publish third party advertising on its boarding cards from today following the successful introduction of its 100% online check in service.

This will allow advertisers to reach the 73 million Ryanair passengers that will print their boarding cards from the comfort of their own home in the next twelve months.

Ryanair’s new advertising service allows both global and local brands to reach a pan-European audience by integrating online and print advertising to deliver exceptional value to focused advertising campaigns.  Ryanair passengers must reference their boarding cards on a number of occasions during a trip – providing repeat exposure for advertisers.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said,

“Ryanair is the world’s largest international scheduled airline and with over 73 million passengers annually our boarding cards offer unrivalled access to Europe’s most prolific travel community. All passengers must check in online and print their boarding card prior to travelling so this offer provides a unique opportunity for advertisers throughout Europe to target specific Ryanair customers.

“Our on-line advertising has proven extremely successful and introduction of this boarding card adverting allows a highly valuable, targeted, integrated advertising campaign. The revenue from online advertising will help Ryanair to continue to lower fares for its passengers and ensure that only Ryanair can offer Europe’s guaranteed lowest fares”.
