18th March 2010 Print

European accommodation specialist Pierre & Vacances has some great late deals on offer at properties throughout France this Easter holiday, including apartments close to the annual Easter celebrations in the centre of Biarritz and seven nights for the price of five at selected ski properties in the French Alps.

Easter egg hunts in Biarritz
Throughout Easter the whole of Biarritz takes to the streets for a two-day Easter egg hunt and cavalcade through the city. Join more than 600 dancers and musicians for a traditional afternoon of song and dance which takes place in the town centre on Easter Sunday (4th April), before embarking on organised chocolate hunts (Chasse aux Oeufs) in the city’s numerous parks and outdoor spaces on Easter Monday (5th April).

Pierre & Vacances Residence Haguna is located in the centre of Biarritz; just 300m away from the sandy beach, and is an ideal base for exploring the weekend’s festivities. Prices for a three night stay between 2nd – 5th April 2010 start from €393 (£355) for a one bedroom apartment sleeping up to four people. All apartments include a fully fitted kitchen and living area.

Biarritz is easily reached from the UK with direct flights from Birmingham, Stansted and Gatwick. Current prices start from as little as £74 per person return from Birmingham or £174 per person return from London.

Seven nights for the price of five and 25% off lift passes in the Alps
Pierre & Vacances is offering seven nights for the price of five and 25% off the price of six-day adult lift passes on selected properties in the French Alps this Easter. Accommodation on offer includes the ski-in-ski-out Pierre & Vacances Le Thabor in Valmeinier 1800 where four adults sharing a studio apartment between 27th March – 3rd April 2010 is now only €257 (£232) per apartment.

Four six-day adult lift passes are also now only €111 each (£100), previously €143, meaning the total cost for accommodation and lift passes for four people for one week is just €726 (previously €960) when booked online.

Valmeinier shares 150km of piste with its neighbouring Maurienne resort Valloire and offers altitude skiing from 1,500m – 2,600m. Current snow conditions are excellent in resort with 50cm of snow on lower slopes and 150cm on the upper slopes, with more snow predicted this weekend.
