Automotive glazing services company, Auto Windscreens has confirmed its second season as a sponsor in the UK's leading Motorsport series; The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Auto Windscreens has thrown its support behind Team Aon, which will be running drivers Tom Chilton (25) and Tom Onslow-Cole (23). Each driver will run an LPG-powered Ford Focus ST - the first ever LPG cars in the 30 race BTCC.

Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Nigel Davies, Auto Windscreens’ Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We are proud to be back as a sponsor in the 2010 BTCC. Being the only LPG cars on the grid this season, all eyes will be on the Team Aon drivers. Chilton and Onslow-Cole have both youth and ambition on their side and I am confident they will not disappoint in the 2010 season.”

Team Aon Team Principal Mike Earle added: “We are looking forward to a competitive season with new Calor powered Ford Focus and we are delighted to welcome Auto Windscreens on-board for an exciting new partnership for a thrilling new season of racing.”

Chilton, who has recently been signed as The Sun’s online columnist, took pole position at the final meeting of the 2009 BTCC, held at Brands Hatch, and in doing so he became the first Ford driver to do so for over nine years.

Chilton is also credited with being the youngest ever competitor in the BTCC. Chilton is also the youngest ever driver to win a race in the BTCC and youngest ever podium finisher back in 2004.

The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship starts at Thruxton, Hampshire, on Sunday 4th April.
