H&H Classic Auctions slashes its vendor’s commission

31st August 2006 Print
Ever the innovator, H&H Classic Auctions has slashed its vendor’s commission to just 2.5% - a major first for the automotive auction industry.

Never afraid to tinker with the profession’s long established traditions, the company was the first to drop the commission rate down to 5% - a move that its competitors have largely been forced to match, though few officially declare the fact!

Now, following comprehensive consultation with leading collectors, dealers, clubs and museums, it has literally halved that landmark figure.

Said H&H’s Managing Director, Simon Hope, “We have for some time felt that the weighting of the commission rates needed further adjustment and, only after a long and thorough review process, have now declared our hand – an industry leading structure that we are assured better reflects the needs of our clients, whilst retaining a superior offering to that of our competitors.”

H&H has considerably grown in stature over the last few years, establishing a string of new world record auction prices in the process.
