BB winner Sophie to run London marathon for charity

Television’s ‘Big Brother’ 2009 winner, Sophie Reade, is setting her sights on her next challenge – to take part in the 2010 Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 25th April, in aid of The Children’s Trust.
The 20-year-old from Nantwich, Cheshire has been busily preparing for the world’s most famous running event, by regular training on a treadmill during the week and up to 12-mile runs at the weekend in her home town.
Sophie, who recently visited The Children’s Trust in Tadworth, Surrey and met some of the children, plans to raise £20,000 for the charity and is hoping that her fans will support her. She said: “It was very inspirational to meet the children at the Trust, who are receiving rehabilitation programmes for an acquired brain injury. I was so impressed with their determination to undertake daily challenges that will help them rebuild their lives and return to their homes and schools.”
Sophie selected to run for The Children’s Trust, in memory of her sister Rachel who died at just five years old, as a result of meningitis. If you would like to sponsor Sophie, visit: virginmoneygiving.com/SophieReade
