Fred Perry and Amy Winehouse launch fashion collection

Fred Perry has collaborated with Amy Winehouse on a 17-piece clothing and accessories collection. The collection features Winehouse’s quirky input on classic Fred Perry pieces, including polo shirts, the Harrington jacket and the jumper dress.
Key pieces include a feminine fifties-style twin set, a super-short pencil skirt and a mini shirt dress inspired by fifties bowling wear. Most pieces use Winehouse’s trademark black and pink.
Winehouse said: “I’m really excited about doing this collection with Fred Perry. We’ve been working on it for a while and it’s great to see it finally come to fruition.”
John Flynn, managing director of Fred Perry, added: “We have had a great relationship over the years as she has been a loyal fan and supporter. Amy’s sense of style and attitude to music and fashion pervades through this collaboration.”
The collection will be available in stores Autumn 2010.
