5 Year ISA at 4.60% from Leeds Building Society

1st April 2010 Print

Leeds Building Society has launched a market leading 5 Year Fixed Rate ISA paying 4.60% tax-free. This high return is also combined with the flexibility of unlimited access to 25% of the amount invested at any time, without notice or penalty, and a minimum opening balance of only £1.

This account is suitable for any remaining subscriptions in the current 2009/2010 tax year, with the maximum investment allowed being £3,600 and £5,100 for anyone born on or before 5th April 1960. The 2010/2011 tax year begins next Tuesday, 6th April, when the maximum allowance increases to £5,100 for all investors.

Kim Rebecchi, Leeds Building Society's Sales and Marketing Director said, "The opportunity to earn a fixed rate of 4.60% interest tax-free for five years, from as little as £1, is a market leading offer and provides outstanding value. Furthermore, unlike many other ISA products in the market, this new 5 Year Fixed Rate ISA delivers flexibility and peace of mind with unlimited withdrawals of up to 25% of the capital allowed at any time, without notice or penalty.

"We have seen very high ISA inflows this tax year and are very aware that tax-free savings are extremely important to our customers. We expect this product to prove popular with customers over the ISA season both for last minute subscriptions, and also for new deposits when the 2010/2011 tax year begins on Tuesday and the maximum allowance rises to £5,100 for everyone."
