Cinquecento heaven in Liguria

Calling all Fiat enthusiasts! From the 2nd – 4th July an international crowd of over 1,000 will descend on the Italian town of Garlenda in the region of Liguria for the annual Fiat 500 Meeting.

Fans of the much beloved and cult car, the Cinquecento, come from all over the world to get together to celebrate what is possibly one of the world’s smallest cars! Over the three day period the visitors will compare cars, pick up sought after spare parts in the Serre Park and enjoy Italy’s cuisine in the Villafranca Park which plays host to numerous food stalls from the evening of the 2nd July.

On the morning of the 4th July the event reaches its climax with all the attendees and their Fiat 500’s gathering at the Villanova d’Albenga Race Course for the catwalk show and the prize draw. This is the best way for holidaymakers in the region to join in the fun with spectators lining the race track and heading down onto the track to closer inspect the cars.

During the three day event tours of local seaside towns Andorra, Laigueglia and Ceriale have been arranged allowing another opportunity to spot the classic cars.

Accommodation in Garlenda can be found at the five star La Meridiana (lameridianaresort.com), this charming Relais & Châteaux resort situated near the famous Garlenda golf course is a real retreat offering peaceful gardens and renowned cuisine. Room rates start from €240 per room per night without breakfast.
