Motorpoint rebrand to echo customer loyalty

240,000 people can’t be wrong was the thinking behind Motorpoint’s new marketing slogan ‘You’re in great company’. The slogan has been designed to reflect the fact that since opening in 1998 Motorpoint has now sold in the region of a quarter of a million vehicles and has also completed the feat of selling a car to every postal area in the UK in the first six months of 2006.

Motorpoint has also been honoured with a Hitwise award for receiving more visits to its website than any other firm in the Hitwise UK Automotive Dealerships category between April and June 2006. Motorpoint beat off stiff competition from the likes of Reg Vardy, Car Craft and Arnold Clark to gain this award.

Each quarter Hitwise recognizes the top 10 UK based websites across 160 categories with an award. The top 10 Awards are based on percentage of user visits which a website receives. Motorpoint has over 22,000 individual users visiting its website motorpoint.co.uk every day, and its dedicated telesales centre receives some 600 calls per day.

Gary Warren, managing director of Motorpoint said: “In every postal area in the UK there will be a car which has been purchased from us, this proves that consumers all over the UK are canny enough to get the best value on their new vehicle by buying from Motorpoint. “

Motorpoint will still retain the ‘car buying evolved’ part of its slogan, which refers to how they changed the car retail environment in the UK by bringing in the first exports on a large scale in 1998.

Gary concluded by saying: “We will also continue to evolve the concept of car buying hence why we have invested so heavily in developing new software programmes to enhance the customer experience.”
