Bloor Homes reports an increase in purchasers taking the opportunity to part exchange their old home for a new home. At Houghton Manor, a new development in the idyllic village of Houghton Conquest in Bedford, purchasers have rushed to secure a new home by trading in their old one with the help of Bloor Homes’ Part Exchange service.

Chris Clack and his wife Linda recently purchased a new four bedroom property at Houghton Manor. The couple were living in Bromham and had made the decision to move closer to their family in Ampthill so they decided to visit a few developments in the surrounding area.

Chris comments: “We hadn’t really thought about part exchange before as you never really know if you are going to get a good deal. When we visited Houghton Manor the Bloor Homes representative explained everything to us and was really accommodating. They made us an offer on our property within days, which was so good we just couldn’t turn it down, and now we are really looking forward to moving into our new home. The added value is that there is no pressure and we haven’t had to deal with estate agents or have the risk of getting stuck in a moving chain.”

Chris continues: “Houghton Manor itself is a really attractive development in a fantastic village location. It initially stood out to us because there are only 26 houses on the development which makes it ideal for purchasers like us who like to be part of a smaller community.”

Vanessa Macnee, Sales Director for Bloor Homes South Midlands, comments: “If you express an interest in purchasing a new home through our part exchange offer, one of our sales consultants will discuss the scheme with you and ensure your existing property matches our standard criteria. We will then commission three independent market valuations of your property by local estate agents. Based on the valuations and subject to the survey and if you are happy with the offer we make, the purchase process can be simply completed from there as though you were a cash buyer. We will purchase your property from you and take on full responsibility for selling it.”

Offering a variety of different housestyles, Houghton Manor provides a collection of 26 three, four and five bedroom homes ideal for local families looking to upgrade to a new home. Prices start from just £247,950 for a three bedroom ‘Wootton’ housetype. This property is ideal for young couples, families and downsizers who will appreciate the flexible living space. On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen / breakfast room which features a range of integrated appliances and has double doors leading to the garden. A separate spacious living room is great for relaxed entertaining while a downstairs cloakroom and storage cupboard completes the accommodation on this floor.

Upstairs to the first floor the master bedroom features fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room. Bedrooms two and three are both spacious, double rooms which have access to a separate family bathroom. Further cupboard space is also provided on this floor.

Houghton Conquest is an ancient quintessential English village situated between Kempston Hardwick and Ampthill. With its attractive buildings and unique charm it rarely fails to cast its spell on residents and visitors alike. Pretty thatched houses, rolling green countryside combined with a local shop, notable restaurants and good schools provide for a peaceful environment for all the family to enjoy. Further a field there are a wide range of golf courses, swimming clubs and leisure centres plus a range of shops and monthly markets in Ampthill. Close to the A6, it is convenient for Luton Airport, the M1 Junctions 12 & 13 and both Flitwick and Bedford railway stations.

Prices for homes at the development start from £247,950 for a three bedroom house, £325,000 for a four bedroom and £450,000 for a five bedroom. For further information visit: bloorhomes.com
