Life support for your classic
Every classic car owner is familiar with that slow turning starter, or worse, the click of a solenoid that indicates a flat battery. Despite the best of care the one thing that lets any stored vehicle down is the flat battery.Be it a leakage at the terminals, or simply the car clock ticking away in an untended vehicle, you can be sure that come the day you want to go for a run in your cherished classic, it won’t start. Even modern vehicles can suffer from the same problems, possibly more so, since the battery has to power vehicle monitoring functions and other body electric systems including alarms, that remain on constant stand-by. Such delicate circuitry can also be easily damaged by the random use of jumper cables to start a modern vehicle with a flat battery – which is one reason why most car makers no longer recommend the practice.
Binz (UK) Ltd. is now offering a system to the aftermarket that addresses the issue of any potential battery failure.
Originally developed for the company’s own Mercedes-Benz extended E-Class based 6-door limousines, the key item in the Binz Battery Charger System is the Binz Battery Power Socket, a simple to fit external socket that feeds power to the battery from an external smart battery charger to maintain your vehicle’s electrics in tip top condition 24/7.
The Binz Battery Charger is a fully automatic 3-stage switch mode, waterproof system to IP65 rating with vehicle connection is via a Magnetic Power Plug that will automatically disconnect if you forget to unplug before driving away, without damage to either vehicle or socket.
The Binz Battery Charger System can be used on virtually any make or model of vehicle. Binz Battery Power Socket sets are available separately so that one charger can easily be switched to support more than one car.
