Confused.com cash bonanza to get people switching

14th April 2010 Print

Confused are aiming to make would-be switchers an offer they can't refuse by offering up to £30 cashback (£15 per fuel switched) and inviting the energy providers to top that figure up to make it an even better prospect. Currently Scottish Power and First Utility are boosting their offering in a bid to bring back the best prices and there is potential for a massive £80 in cash back for those who opt for Scottish Price.

With cashback offers like these available and an online energy price way heating up, it makes the decision to shop around even more crucial.

Gareth Kloet, head of utilities says "We're really keen for customers to try switching through Confused.com when they shop for the best energy deals and our offer will hopefully give customers an added reward for making the effort to search for a better deal.  Once aware of the options and savings that can be made, we're sure users will be pleasantly surprised by the savings and rewards that can be achieved for doing something that's so easy.  With some energy suppliers also topping up our offer, this is further evidence that energy providers are still choosing to fight the price war using online tariffs as the battle ground.  It's great to see the competition increasing.

Those who steadfastly refuse to review their current energy provider and tariff will continue to needlessly waste money.

Despite all the horror headlines, good deals are still out there for the taking for those willing to take the decision into their own hands and compare everybody's offer side by side. The best way to do this is to use an accredited price comparison site. Conversely, those staying put and hoping for the best will continue to suffer at the hands of price rises. With the amount of cashback available, there has never been a better time to shop around"
