SANYO is adding another industry-leading model to its range of Xacti Dual Cameras this week, with the launch of the slim and stylish VPC-SH1. Available in the UK from this week, the SH1 incorporates an industry’s top class 30x Advanced Zoom and a 35mm wide-angle lens, despite being just 43mm thick and weighing only 203g. As with all Xactis, the SH1 is a Dual Camera, shooting both 1080i Full HD footage and 10 mega-pixel stills.

A first glimpse of the Xacti SH1 was provided at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas earlier this year, but the SH1will be seen for the first time in the UK this week.

Dominic Jones, Marketing Manager for SANYO UK commented: “With the SH1 we believe we have created a watershed product – pushing pocket-size camcorders to a new level of technical specification and versatility.”

Bold design. Groundbreaking performance.
The Xacti SH1 also debuts a new style of chassis for the Xacti, evolving the traditional camcorder style to provide a sleeker and more usable shape without compromising on versatility and durability. A unique Double Sub REC Button means that a second record button is placed at the top of the unit to enhance usability for those recording at tight or artistic angles. The new SH1 is the only dual camera in its class to offer a 30x Advanced Zoom, and digital image stabilisation helps to maintain a steady hand even when at full zoom.

Capture everything, lose nothing.
Weighing just 203g, the SH1 is the highest quality HD camera available that fits in your pocket and is designed to take everywhere. The adjustable, fold out 2.7inch TFT LCD screen displays the action clearly at all times from any angle and in a variety of light conditions. A mini HDMI port means TV playback is at optimum quality for both photos and videos.

Perfect for Facebook, YouTube and Flickr.
Sharing footage taken with the Xacti SH1 is as easy as shooting it and the camera is compatible with Eye-Fi SD cards4 to allow fast and hassle-free wireless transfer to the web. Footage is shot in the YouTube compatible MPEG4 format and can be uploaded easily to any of the major social networks or blogging platforms at the click of a mouse.

When using Eye-Fi Share Video card or Eye-Fi Pro card. The Eye-Fi cards are sold separately. The maximum file size that can be uploaded from the Eye-Fi Share Video card is 2GB.The Eye-Fi Uploading Function may not operate in the future due to change in card specifications.
