Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha will return to the big screen on 28 May with the UK release of “Sex and the City 2” and women everywhere are buzzing with anticipation.

In celebration of the fabulous foursome, long-haul tour operator, Travelmood has launched a series of sizzling, “Sex and the City” breaks to New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Each flirty getaway includes a saving which is available to fans who book over the phone, online or in one of Travelmood’s six stores between 28 May and 18 June 2010, the period of the film’s UK release.

New York is frequently heralded the real star of Sex and the City. Manhattan provides the glamorous backdrop to the romantic adventures in the characters’ lives and the series has undoubtedly inspired a million girls’ weekends in New York.

Travelmood has teamed up with The Hudson to offer a three-night New York break from £599 per person, saving £104 per person and departing on 25 June 2010. The Hudson starred in an episode of the Sex and the City TV series as the chic, new hotel being opened by Samantha’s ex-beau Richard Wright. Billed “the ultimate lifestyle hotel for the 21st century”, The Hudson is located in midtown, just steps from Central Park, Columbus Circle and the theatre district and the Hudson Bar is one of New York’s hottest nightspots. The price includes three nights, room-only at the four-star Hudson Hotel and return, economy flights with Virgin Atlantic from London Heathrow.

Ladies looking for a five-star Manhattan experience can book Travelmood’s three-night break at the InterContinental’s New York Barclay from just £569 per person, saving £107 per person. The deal departs on 25 June 2010 and the price includes room-only accommodation for three nights and return, economy flights with Virgin Atlantic from London Heathrow.

Die-hard fans can add a “Sex and the City Hotspots” tour to their New York break from just £31 per person, also bookable through Travelmood. The tour, which is led by a local actress, takes visitors to more than 40 locations from the show including the shop where Charlotte bought her “Rabbit,” the furniture store where Aidan worked as a designer, the bar owned by Steve and Aidan and locations from the new movie.

Carrie and Co have been known to sample sex and another city, occasionally. Samantha swapped New York for LA in the first movie and Mr Big said farewell to Carrie and the Big Apple when he bought a vineyard in California’s Napa Valley at the end of season four.

Fans can book a Samantha and Smith-style holiday to Los Angeles, departing on 6 September 2010 from £629 per person, saving £59 per person. The price includes four nights, room-only at the Millennium Biltmore hotel in the heart of downtown LA and return, economy flights with Virgin Atlantic from London Heathrow.

A San Francisco city break is also available for holidaymakers who want to follow in Mr Big’s footsteps. The four-night getaway departs on 7 September 2010 and includes room-only accommodation at Hotel Metropolis on Union Square, ideal for shopping, and return, economy flights with American Airlines from London Heathrow.
