The Mira Hong Kong celebrated its coveted place on the Condé Nast Traveller Hot List 2010, after being ranked one of “the 66 coolest new hotels in the world” by the leading UK travel glossy.

The Mira Hong Kong was one of only five properties in China to have made it onto the prestigious Hot List, among “no shortage of very strong contenders” spanning 31 countries across the globe.

Lauding the hotel as “bold, fun and vivacious,” Condé Nast Traveller said The Mira Hong Kong was “best summed up by its spa and fitness centre, with its indoor infinity-edged pool, as much a place to party as get pampered.”

Applauding “the tech stuff (all-in-one computer and infotainment centre, iPod dock, a Nokia mobile that works around the city) is joyfully comprehensible even by the most jet-lagged,” the Hot List went on to outline the hotel’s signature original Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair, present in every room, as “symptomatic of the stylish comfort.”

On the hotel’s award -winning restaurants and bars, WHISK’s celebrity chef Justin Quek was hailed “Singapore’s answer to Jamie Oliver,” with award-winning al fresco garden lounge Vibes “a sensational courtyard bar lit by gas fires.” Condé Nast Traveller reserved its most vociferous praise for what it cited the ultimate highlight of a stay at The Mira Hong Kong: “pootling about in the hotel’s vintage London taxi (number plate MIRA).”

“To join the ranks of the most prized new hotels among stiff worldwide competition after being stringently assessed by Condé Nast Traveller’s dedicated team of Hot List travel writers, confirms that The Mira Hong Kong has truly arrived as the go-to destination for discerning travellers seeking a unique stay, coupled with personalised luxury,” said Troy Hickox, Hotel Manager of The Mira Hong Kong. “This achievement is also testament to the tireless enthusiasm of our teams, who stop at nothing to offer guests a customised experience that exceeds expectations.”
