Dive Worldwide, the UK’s leading specialist diving tour operating company, has launched its 2010 brochure revealing 7 new destinations: Jordan, Cuba, Fujairah, Panama and Aruba, plus Christmas Island and Cocos Island in the South Pacific.

In addition, there is a new option for a two-centre trip combining Oman and the Maldives, and combination ‘diving and dry-land activity’ trips such as an ascent of Kilimanjaro, a Masai Mara safari in Tanzania an exploration of Cuba plus day trips to the Dead Sea or Wadi Rum.

Here is a brief synopsis of the new elements to Dive Worldwide’s 2010/11 programme:

New destination – Jordan (from £1249 for 9 days)

Dive Worldwide splashes down in Jordan with 9 different resorts and itineraries to choose from. Jordan is ideal for both shore dives and snorkelling making it ideal for non-diving partners. Prices start at £1249 pp for a 9-day stay at My Hotel including 10 shore dives.

New destination – Fujairah (from £1360 for 8 days)

One of the smallest, and least spoilt, UAE states, Fujairah is home to remote landscapes and a reef which stretches for 55 miles. Prices start at £1360 pp for an 8-day trip to Al Aqah Beach Resort including 10 dives.

New destination – Panama (from £2629 for 8 days)

The Coiba national Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is the crown jewel of Panama’s protected natural reserves where a dive can encounter many endangered species and vibrant coral reefs. New Destination – Aruba (from £1599 for 9 days)

New destination – Christmas Island (from £2245 for 10 days)

Just two hours’ flight time south east of Singapore and famed for its annual migration of 43 million red crabs, Christmas Island is often referred to as the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean because of its sheer number of endemic flora and fauna. From £2299 pp for 7 nights at The Sunset including 10 dives.

New destination – Cocos Island (from £3225 for 14 nights)

The Cocos (Keeling) Islands are made up of a combination of 27 small islands forming an incredible u-shaped coral atoll located 2700 kilometres north west of Perth in the Indian Ocean.
