‘Sidings Sizzler’ heats up Lychgate Gardens

As part of this year’s Radyr & Morganstown Festival, sponsor Taylor Wimpey will be hosting the ‘Sidings Sizzler’ at its Lychgate Gardens development on De Clare Drive next weekend, Saturday 8th May.

Starting at midday, the family event will offer a range of fun activities for visitors, including dance and drama plus circus skills. A local beauty therapist will be offering treatments such as mini spas while a graffiti workshop will keep kids entertained. Delicious food and drink will be available along with local crafts and, later in the evening, a wine tasting event will be held exclusively for grown ups!

Sara Taylor, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey South Wales, says: “Lychgate Gardens is the third phase of our Radyr development and, having built for several years in this picturesque location, we were honoured to get involved in the Radyr & Morganstown Festival. The two week event is a highlight on the community’s annual calendar, very much involving all of the residents and, as a part of that community, we are delighted to be able to support the Festival as its principal sponsor.

“We see our new homes as being very much part of the village so, to showcase this, we offered to host one of the fun-filled family events at Lychgate Gardens. We hope the entire community will turn up to enjoy the range of activities on the day and make the event a red hot success!”

In addition to hosting the ‘Sidings Sizzler’, Taylor Wimpey’s sponsorship will be used to help fund two other key events at the Radyr & Morganstown Festival, including the Festival Fete, taking place on Saturday 1st May, and the open air concert in Parc Radur on Saturday 15th May.

David Cargill, Festival organiser, comments: “We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their generous financial support and co-operation. The Festival brings the communities of Radyr and Morganstown together to raise funds for our nominated charity – Ty Hafan, the Children’s Hospice in Cardiff. We hope this year, with Taylor Wimpey’s support, we can raise more money than last year and see more people coming along to join in the festivities.”

Taylor Wimpey is currently building a stylish selection of two bedroom coach houses and three, four and five bedroom homes at its Lychgate Gardens development in Radyr.

Prices currently start from only £199,995 for a three bedroom, semi-detached townhouse, offering buyers excellent value and more house for their money. Available to buy off plan now, over 60 per cent of the first phase of homes released for sale have already been snapped up by purchasers eager to secure a luxury home at this aspirational development.
