Like Q’Straint, Autoadapt is a specialist in high quality vehicle adaptation products, giving greater independence to people with disabilities. It specialises in easy access products including the popular ‘Turny’, ‘Turnout’, ‘Carolift’ and ‘Carony’ systems.

Turny, ideal for larger vehicles is able to swivel and lower the occupant to the ground. Turnout swivels to allow better access for entering and leaving private cars.

Effective immediately, Q’Straint will also be offering the established range of top quality lifts from The Braun Corporation, which is exclusively represented in the UK by Autoadapt.

“What we have achieved is the creation of a highly specialised, one-stop shop of quality products for the safety and care of wheelchair occupants in vehicles,” explained Mike Simmonds, Managing Director of Q’Straint. “This new relationship means that Q’Straint can concentrate on the commercial side of the market – coach builders, local authorities and transport companies – while Autoadapt will be able to benefit from the addition of our innovative products to what it offers to the private sector.”

“I believe that our new initiative with Autoadapt and an ever-increasing range of top quality products will strengthen our position as global leader in wheelchair and passenger restraining systems for vehicles,” he added.

Peter Wahlsten, Vice President of Autoadapt said: “The synergies between the two companies are unique. Whilst Q’Straint specialises in wheelchair and occupant restraints, the addition of the world renowned Braun lift range together with the Turny, Turnout and Carony seat products will represent a unique combination of quality and safe equipment for the protection of the disabled.”
