Barford’s got talent too!

The Granville @ Barford hosted its very own successful version of ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ last Sunday. ‘Barford's Got Talent’ attracted 9 hugely talented acts and villagers raised £766 for “Lupus West Midlands”, the charity for people with the incurable immune system illness.
The award-winning dining pub hopes to raise over £1,000 by the end of the Barford’s Got Talent Grand Finale on Sunday 2 May at 8pm.
The three best acts were chosen from a team of four judges who took on the roles of Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden’s mum. Libby Bonner-Evans who sang and played the acoustic guitar, Mike Dunnett-Stone, a jazz keyboardist and ‘The Fuller Muller Band’, a 6 piece band who had only been together six weeks, now go through to the Grand Finale. The final and star guest act was from ‘Lady Gaga’ who took to the stage singing “Bad Romance” performed brilliantly by villager Dulcie Cobb.

Val Kersey, Proprietor, stated “Our talent contest was a fantastic fun night out and attracted some amazing talented acts. We raised a tremendous amount of money for our charity and hope to hit the £1,000 mark at our exciting Grand Finale on Sunday. Our thanks go to the judges who took their roles very seriously!
