Retirement Villages chef scores gold rating

Chef Andrew Sage who runs the restaurant at Lime Tree Village in Dunchurch, Warwickshire has scored a Gold rating from Rugby Borough Council.

The highest award was given to the kitchens following a detailed food hygiene inspection. The Gold rating is only awarded if very good or excellent standards are achieved for each of the three key assessment areas: structural, compliance with good food hygiene practice and legislation and confidence in management.

Andrew has been running the kitchens at Lime Tree Village for a year. His personal standards are high.

“The only ready prepared items I buy in are bread and ice cream,” he said, “Everything else is made fresh on the premises using local ingredients.

“I am delighted to have achieved this award which is peace of mind for the residents here that they are receiving the best service.”
