Chevrolet supports Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team

Chevrolet supports Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team It’s not every day you can see Chevrolet vehicles star in stunt displays but thanks to their association with the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team – The Flying Gunners, that’s exactly what visitors to shows across the UK have in store this summer.

Chevrolet has donated the vehicles – two 5-door Lacettis, as well as a Lacetti station wagon and a Kalos – to the display team for the whole of the 2007 season. The vehicles will benefit the team in two ways, firstly they will be used to transport the riders around the UK to their many appearances and secondly the grand finale of each event will feature the team jumping the four cars!

Speaking of the Chevrolet sponsorship, Bombardier Daniel Davies said: “We are extremely pleased with the vehicles that Chevrolet has provided for us; we give up to 25 performances across the country every year, so it’s important to have reliable and comfortable transport to each venue. We’re also really happy with the way the cars look during the performance, the final jump over the vehicles has really got the crowd going.”

The Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display team is based in Larkhill, Salisbury. All riders are fully trained gunners from the Royal Artillery units, who stay in the team for between two and four years. To find an event near you please visit army.mod.uk/ra/mcdt
