Step back in time at the Heritage Motor Centre

Visitors can step back in time when the Heritage Motor Centre hosts the third ‘Classic and Vintage Commercial Show’ next month. The popular show will take place on Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 June.

Thousands of visitors from all over Europe are expected to attend this nostalgic show which will feature hundreds of classic and vintage commercial vehicles prior to 1985.

A number of clubs will be attending including the Morris Commercial Club, the Foden Society, the ERF Historic Vehicles Limited (formerly REVS ) the Mechanical Horse Club and the Ford Transit Club. In addition there will be over 70 trade stands inside and out selling anything from vehicles spares, photographs, die-cast models, brochures and tools.

Visitors will be able to wander around the successful indoor model show, which last year featured more than 160 tables of models on display. These include kit built or scratch built models in many different scales. There is also a vast array of working radio control models both inside and outside the museum. Kitten Von Mew, a family friendly 1940s dance act will perform over the weekend at a new display featuring 40's vehicles.

Emma Rawlinson, Event Executive for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “We’re delighted to be hosting the Classic and Vintage Commercial Show which enables visitors the chance to step back in time and admire these amazing nostalgic vehicles”.

The show is open from 10am – 5pm on the Saturday and from 10am – 4pm on the Sunday. A one day advance ticket costs £9 for adults, £7 for children and £28 for a family. A two day advance ticket costs £16 for adults, £13 for children and £38 for a family. Camping is available from 4pm on Friday 11 June – 8pm on Sunday 13 June.
