BT Vision finds Arqiva good for sport
BT has announced that, after Ofcom’s pay-TV review, it has reached a deal with Arqiva, the communications infrastructure and media services company, for DTT capacity so that it is in a position to offer Sky Sports 1 and 2 to its BT Vision customers.
Ofcom, the broadcast and telecoms regulator, has been carrying out a review of how pay TV is offered in the UK. Now that it has completed its review, BT is aiming to bring Sky Sports 1 and 2 to viewers in time for the new 2010/11 Premier League season.
Marc Watson, CEO BT Vision said: “Offering Sky Sports 1 and 2 to our customers is clearly an important milestone for both BT and of course our customers. To enable delivery of these channels we have chosen to work with Arqiva for DTT capacity. They have a proven track record and will allow us to ensure a great service for our customers.”
