Cobra launch Alfa Romeo Mito suspension upgrade

Leading suspension manufacturer Cobra has launched an uprated spring kit for the small, but perfectly formed Alfa Romeo Mito. The new kit carries full TÜV approval and lowers the dynamic hatch by around 30mm.

This new-found poise endows the diminutive Italian with a far more aggressive stance, which helps the wheels to fill the arches and add more visual ‘weight’ to the whole look of the car. More importantly, the lower centre of gravity helps improve turn-in and steering feel. By keeping flatter in the turns, traction is also improved with the inside front wheel less likely to spin under spirited cornering.

It’s not all about looks and handling though, Cobra also ensures that the new Mito spring kit should remain impervious to even the harshest Of British climates. The heat-treated springs are powder coated for a long and durable life - even on the UK’s salted winter roads. Each spring is cold formed for accuracy before being heat treated for strength and durability. Finally each and every spring is shot-peened to pre fatigue the spring and eliminate sagging.
