17th May 2010 Print

TAP is launching its new route to Algiers on 1 June, with rates from EUR 266 (taxes included). This promotion is valid for travel originating in the mainland (Lisbon, Porto and Faro), for the period from 1 June to 30 June.

The new TAP route will have three connections per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, operated by Embraer aircraft with a capacity of 45 passengers. The Lisbon/Algiers flights leave at 3.45pm, arriving at Algeria’s capital city at 6.05pm. The return flight, from Algiers, leaves at 6.50pm, arriving in Lisbon at 9.00pm.

Remember too that on 1 June, TAP is launching another destination, Marrakech, operating three flights per week, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

With these new routes from June onwards, TAP will be servicing a network of 11 cities in nine African countries, operating a total of 63 weekly connections between Portugal and Africa. In Morocco, Marrakech joins Casablanca, another of the company’s destinations, with 20 flights a week. In Cape Verde, TAP flies to Sal and Praia seven times a week each, just as it does to Dakar in Senegal.

Last year, TAP increased its Luanda operation to 10 flights a week. It also offers three flights a week in its joint Maputo/Johannesburg operation, as well as a once-a-week direct flight to the Mozambican capital. Lastly, the carrier also offers three flights a week to Bissau (four in the June to September period) and one to São Tomé.
