The five-star Oyster Box Hotel, a member of Luxury Hotels by Dnata, was named by Conde Nast Traveler magazine as one of the “Hot Hotels” and one of the “Hot Hotel Spas” for 2010,  The Oyster Box in Durban is offering a Stay 4, Pay 3 special package. 

Guests can pay for three nights and stay for four, for visits from now until 31st October 2010.

Stay 4, Pay 3 package rates start at just AED 3,300 per person, based on double occupancy in a Classic room.  Included in the package are accommodations for four nights, breakfast daily, airport transfers, taxes and service charge.  The offer excludes stays during FIFA, 6th June to 13th July, and cannot be combined with any other special discounts.

A member of The Red Carnation Hotels, The Oyster Box opened in 1947, and underwent a major two-year rebuilding program, completed in October 2009.  With sweeping views of the Indian Ocean, the spa resort is situated on Umhlanga’s prestigious beachfront, and near the Durban airport. 

The Oyster Box has long been recognized as one of Africa’s best and most distinguished hotels, with an abundance of colonial charm and a breathtaking seaside setting.  Featuring 86 luxurious rooms and suites, the hotel offers casual and fine dining options.

Why not add an exotic three-night big game safari to complete the adventure?  Safaris for Africa has created an exciting safari package in the northern part of KwaZulu Natal, an eco region with mountains, grasslands, wetlands and valley bush land.  Visitors can observe birdlife (more than 400 species), wildlife (lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena). A highlight is a two-hour cruise through the St Lucia Wetlands Park, a World Heritage Site, to see antelope, crocodiles, hippos, a variety of birds and fish.

The Safari package includes three nights at the five-star Private Game Lodge (luxury tented accommodations), transfer from the Oyster Box via an air-conditioned luxury vehicle, all meals (breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner with house wine), services of a certified guide/driver, a specialist wildlife guide, game drives in an open vehicle, Zulu dancing and a Boma dinner, a boat cruise on the St. Lucia estuary, all entrance fees and airport transfers.  Price is AED 5,763 per person, based on sharing a double room, from 1st May to 7th June.  Rates from 14th July to 30th September are AED 3,213 per person, double occupancy.
