Lagan Homes raises £500 for charity

On Friday 29th April, 44 golfers from across the United Kingdom and Ireland took part in the inaugural Lagan Homes Corporate Golf Day, where £500 was raised for the chosen charity, the World Children’s Fund, which helps rescue needy children who are abandoned, distressed, exploited, homeless and hungry the world over.
A total of 10 teams made up from employees, business associates, suppliers, solicitors and friends of Lagan Homes, entered the competition held at the Bedford Golf Club, and all donated money to the World Children’s Fund to attend the day.
With prizes on offer including coffee makers and grill machines, competition among the golfers was high with the overall winning team of Gareth Tucker, Bob Meath, Mark Richards and Carl Lake pipping the second placed team by a single point, based on the Stableford scoring system. On an eventful day filled with mini competitions, Bob Meath, of the winning team, hit the longest drive while Paul Reed won the ‘nearest the pin’ competition at the ninth hole.
John Lougher, Managing Director of Lagan Homes comments: “We are delighted with the success of the first ever Lagan Homes Corporate Golf Day to be held in England. We are pleased to provide the chosen charity, the World Children’s Fund, with the very generous donations provided by all of those who kindly came along and showed their support and hope next year’s event will be even more successful!”
