Hyundai 2010 FIFA World Cup national team slogans

More than 52,000 football fans around the world have participated in a competition to create slogans for the teams of countries which have qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The winning slogans, chosen by a competition called ‘Be There with Hyundai’, were selected through online voting on the FIFA.com website. They will be written on each of the 32 national team buses along with the national team colours and flags.

The participants submitted their suggested slogans from December 2009 to March 2010 through Hyundai’s 2010 FIFA World Cup micro-website, fifaworldcup.hyundai.com, and via Hyundai’s worldwide sales and service networks.

Winners of the Hyundai BTWH program in each World Cup participating country – including the UK - will be awarded a stylish brand-new Hyundai i10 hatchback.

The slogan forEngland– ‘Playing with Pride and Glory’ was created by Helen Rathbone, a university student from Congleton in Cheshire. She is currently in the middle of her final exams, trying not to be distracted by having to choose the colour of her new i10.
