Menzies Welcombe Hotel to host special Champagne evening

Following on from the success of their last fines wines evening with the Chateau du Seuil, the Menzies Welcombe Hotel is to host another special gourmet dinner, this time with the world renowned House of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne.

The evening, which will take place on Thursday 15 July at 7:30pm, will include a fine dining four course experience. Victor Lanson, a representative from Piper-Heidsieck will proudly present a selection of superb Champagnes including a Brut, Rose, Vintage 2000, Demi-Sec and Rare. He will introduce each glass of Champagne before each course and provide an insight into its appreciation.

Piper-Heidsieck is one of Champagne’s best-known brands. The house traces its history back to the original Heidsieck and Co., which was founded in 1785. The pinnacle in the collection is the Rare Vintage Cuvées, created by its award-winning winemaker Régis Camus, who was named ‘Sparkling Winemaker of the Year’ for three consecutive years since 2005 in the International Wine Challenge.

Tickets cost £49 per person or £99 including an overnight stay and breakfast. Places are limited and guests are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. The previous gourmet dinner was a complete sell-out.
