Westfield London brings fashion to life

Westfield London, the pioneering London shopping centre, is bringing the excitement of one of its fashion shows to life for the online community, with the use of new video technology - ‘hotspotting’.

The interactive technology has been applied by Westfield London to footage of the recent ‘Greatest Fashion Show on Earth’ catwalk show, featuring clothes from designers and brands including Twenty8Twelve, Ted Baker, Karen Millen and Hobbs.

The creation of this digital catwalk means that anyone who could not attend the event can now watch the show from a virtual front row , while the ’hotspot’ element allows viewers to click on any piece of clothing that catches their eye and instantly find out more information about the item.

A landing page, which is unique for each item, gives the viewer all the information they could want: how much the item costs, who designed it and more information about that store at Westfield. There’s also a product image or a store logo and a clickable link through to the store’s page on the Westfield London site so that shopaholics can find out where to purchase the must-haves!

Viewers then have the option to return to the catwalk show where they can click on further beautiful garments and see the rest of the action from the star-studded night, which includes Jourdan Dunn making her first return to the catwalk after the birth of her son last year, in a stunning Valentino dress that was auctioned off for charity on the night.

Westfield London has hotspotted the ‘Greatest Fashion Show on Earth’ footage to bring the show to life for fashion fans who could not attend the fabulous event themselves. To watch the video, visit: westfield.com
