Restaurateur Pieraccini followed an invitation by Macdonald Hotels & Resorts Chairman, Donald Macdonald, to establish a destination restaurant within the group’s flagship Macdonald Rusacks Hotel.
Based on an Italian style grill concept Rocca is set to become a firm favourite with foodies from the St Andrews area and further afield as well as hotel guests.
Adrian Pieraccini said; “You couldn’t find a more exciting location for a restaurant. The space and the amazing views combined with our Italian inspired food really do make this the place to dine at this year’s Open.
“We are bringing our expertise from Rocpool to Rocca, hoping to add what we call ‘the Roc factor’ to St Andrews’ dining scene.”

The new venture also features the first ever Louis Roederer Champagne bar at the centre of the restaurant - the perfect place to take in the views whilst lingering over the menu.
