Classic entertainment at last night of the Brooklands Proms
Mercedes-Benz World is set to host a spectacular evening that will be music to the ears of classic concert-goers.
The centre near Weybridge, in Surrey, one of Britain’s newest and most appealing concert venues, will be staging The Last Night of the Brooklands Proms on Sunday August 1st.
Performing at the open air extravaganza will be the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Pete Harrison and returning to Mercedes-Benz World for the second time. They will be supported by star opera team Rutter & Gadd who will deliver a rousing recital of traditional British favourites including Rule Britannia and Jerusalem along with music from stage and screen such as Phantom of the Opera and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Adding to the electric atmosphere will be stunning lighting effects and a firework finale featuring specially choreographed fire fountains never seen before in the UK. With flags welcomed and pre booked picnic hampers also available at the event, it is destined to be a summer concert to remember.
Andrew Mallery, Commercial Operations Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars, said: “We are really excited to be welcoming back the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra to Mercedes-Benz World and to be able to offer a night of classical music that is guaranteed to create an amazing atmosphere.
