Sainsbury's pet insurance offer extended

Sainsbury's Finance has announced that it is extending its pet insurance offer of 12 months cover for the price of 9. The offer is available for new customers who purchase a policy online by 6th September 2010.

Customers taking out a pet insurance policy also benefit from Double Nectar Points for 2 years on their Sainsbury's shopping and fuel, and get a 5 per cent discount for insuring a second pet.

Benefiting from the Double Nectar offer, Nectar card holders with Sainsbury's Pet Insurance who spend around £50 a week with Sainsbury's would receive a week's free shopping (£52) worth of Nectar points a year.

Lucy Hunter, Sainsbury's Pet Insurance Manager, said: "Advances in veterinary treatment mean that vet fees are on the rise. By extending this offer we are providing good quality pet insurance that will give pet owners peace of mind that they're covered for a wide range of conditions at an even more affordable price. Sainsbury's Pet Insurance provides up to £7,500 per condition for veterinary treatments, including up to £250 a year for behavioural problems.
