With just a handful of new build homes still available to move into this year at Castlemead in Pistone, Taylor Wimpey is urging those seeking houses for sale in Bedfordshire to secure their favourite property as soon as possible.

The beautiful village development offers a selection of three and four-bedroom detached and link-detached houses from just £249,995 to £409,995, and has attracted a wealth of interest among those looking for new homes in Bedfordshire since its launch last summer.

High demand from property-seekers means now just a handful of Taylor Wimpey houses for sale will be among those ready to move into this autumn/winter.

One of the new homes which can be secured for a November move is the fabulous four-bedroom detached ‘Leighton’.

Featuring a magnificent kitchen with plenty of space for relaxed dining and French doors to the rear garden, the ground floor also offers a formal dining room, a large lounge with doors to the garden, plus a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the first-floor landing leads to two en-suite bedrooms – one with separate bath and shower cubicle – and a home office. Two further double bedrooms and a main bathroom can be found on the top floor of this well-proportioned new property, while outside there is a garage and allocated parking space.

The ‘Leighton’ is priced £409,995 and, like all new Taylor Wimpey houses for sale in Bedfordshire, enjoys a high standard specification including a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood and a choice of units.

The development aims to achieve an EcoHomes ‘Excellent’ rating through a range of green features, including dual-flush toilets, water butts to collect rain for watering the gardens, secure cycle stores, recycling bins in the kitchens, rotary dryers in the gardens, and A-rated white goods available from Taylor Wimpey’s Options range of finishing touches for each home.

Additional Options in the range include flooring and carpets, upgraded kitchen units, granite worktops and appliances, and tiling, showers and bathroom suites.

Castlemead is attracting a great many families and executive couples, keen to enjoy life in a thriving village community within easy reach of Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard and central London.

As Sales Executive Nikki Gibson explains: “Having worked in this region for around 16 years, I had the pleasure of helping the people move to the first Castlemead homes a few years ago, and it’s wonderful to be back to offer our new selection of houses for sale in Pitstone.

“My colleague, Dawn, joined me earlier this year and she is really enjoying the buzz of helping people find their perfect new home in Bedfordshire too!

“We feel like we’re helping to create this new community and that’s so rewarding. In fact, the homes here are so popular that those who are here already have recommended new Taylor Wimpey houses to family, friends and even old neighbours of theirs!”

As well as providing a range of new homes in Bedfordshire, Taylor Wimpey is playing a strong role in the local community, and recently held a special ‘Building Site Safety’ assembly at Brookmead Primary School in Ivinghoe, plus a drawing and photo competition for pupils.

Taylor Wimpey also took part in Pitstone’s Windmill Festival, in association with Windmill Pre-School by becoming festival sponsor and having a stall at the popular May Day event.

The new homes at Castlemead in Pitstone are within easy reach of a pre-school, sports clubs and activities for youngsters, while the village church, cricket club, drama group and local history society offer activities for all. Pitstone is also the proud home to a museum of rural life, packed with fascinating artefacts charting the area’s rich heritage.

Children are well catered for by a selection of good educational facilities within the local area, including a primary school a mile from the development, and secondary schools in the market town of Tring, just three miles away.

Tring also offers a wide range of shops, sporting and leisure pursuits, while Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard and Hemel Hempstead are all within a 10-mile radius of Castlemead.

For those travelling further afield, the M25 is 20 miles away, and the M1 north and south is within a 10-mile drive. Tring Station provides services to London Euston in 45 minutes.

Castlemead showhome and Sales Centre are located at 2 Harlech Road, off Westfield Road, Pitstone, and are open seven days a week, Tuesday to Sunday between 10am and 5pm, and Mondays 1.30pm to 5pm.
