Live the single life at Chatham Place

Research commissioned by Lloyds TSB Insurance plc has identified that nearly two million more single households will emerge by the end of the decade, driven by young adults’ increasing desire to live alone.
One of the most popular locations for young purchasers is Reading – a vibrant destination which has everything on its doorstep – and has proved attractive to young, single buyers who have purchased apartments at Chatham Place by Muse Developments.
David Caught, Sales and Marketing Director at Muse Developments, comments: “Chatham Place is perfectly placed for singles due to Reading’s exciting choice of bars, cafes, shops and transport links, which offer young singletons a winning combination of stylish nightlife, day-to-day convenience and fast access to central London for both work and play. And Chatham Place’s central location and slick contemporary styling are perfectly in tune with the single lifestyle. With only 9 apartments remaining, potential purchasers should move quickly!”
The study, conducted by economic and social researchers FDS International, analysed central and local government data to reveal Britain’s current and emerging single-living hotspots. It identifies a growing pool of under-35s who want to live alone.
In the past, the majority of single-dwellers were either young males or elderly widows.
