Allianz sponsors Brass Day at National Festival of Music for Youth

The UK’s leading musical insurance provider, Allianz Musical Insurance has announced its sponsorship of Brass Day at the National Festival of Music for Youth.

Allianz Musical Insurance Brass Day will be held at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham on 8th July, as part of the seven-day music festival, where over 12,000 of the country's most exciting young performers will come together to showcase their musical talent.

“We’re delighted that Allianz Musical Insurance is supporting the young brass musicians performing at the National Festival,” says Lincoln Abbotts, Chief Executive of Music for Youth. “We hope that this is just the beginning of how Music for Youth can work with Allianz Musical Insurance and it’s great to start this partnership during our 40th anniversary year. The Festival is one of the world's greatest youth music festivals which demonstrates the breadth, innovation and pure talent that exists within young people’s music making in the UK”.

The 2010 Festival will have more workshops, conferences and brand new collaborative projects than before, with 340 groups, such as choirs, orchestras, steel bands, rock, pop and urban groups, brass bands, music theatre groups, jazz bands performing live at venues across the country, including the Symphony Hall, Town Hall, O2 Academy, Birmingham Conservatoire, CBSO Centre, Museum and Art Gallery and for the first time ever Birmingham City Football Club.
