Life's a beach - even in Paris

5th July 2010 Print

If you are undecided whether to take a countryside retreat, a beach-side or city break this summer, then Eurocamp has the perfect solution - Paris Plage - an unusual event in the Parisian summertime that transforms the city’s most vibrant river banks in to sandy beaches from 20 July until 20 August 2010.

Families and couples can witness the transformation of several famous Parisian landmarks into relaxed beaches. From sunning in the sand to swimming in pools suspended over the Seine, or enjoying free evening concerts, Paris Plage offers activities that both kids and adults will enjoy.

Eurocamp’s La Croix du Vieux Pont parc, in Berny-Rivière, is a great base from which to enjoy the beachside fun, as it’s just 90 minutes from the centre of Paris, yet provides a more rural setting with its own private lake and forest. What’s more, the popular family attraction, Disneyland Resort Paris, is within easy reach for fun days out.

The parc also offers plenty of activities and facilities to keep holidaymakers occupied, including the exceptional ‘Action Station’ – for both kids and grown-ups – that offers a giant climbing wall, a zip wire, abseiling, Trapeze walking plus archery. There’s also tennis, table tennis, horse riding and bike hire as well as an on-parc Jacuzzi, sauna and choice of four swimming pools.

A seven night stay at Eurocamp’s La Croix du Vieux Pont parc, in Berny-Rivière, Paris, arriving on 17 July 2010, staying in a 2 bed ‘Comfort’ mobile home, which sleeps up to 6, will cost just £769 for the whole family, accommodation only.

Ferry crossings, fly drive packages, rail travel and overnight stops – at hotels or parcs en route - can also be arranged through Eurocamp at a supplement.
