For Bristol families in search of extra space – Redrow’s four-bedroom homes laid out over three floors could provide an affordable solution.

Priced up to £40,000 below the average asking price for a four-bedroom Bristol property, the spacious and high specification contemporary homes at Tallsticks, in Filton, should be on every family’s wish list.

They are part of the hugely popular Cheswick ‘urban village’ development just a few miles from the city centre.

Hannah Newnes, sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “Our three-storey ‘Caxton’ and ‘Routledge’ homes are generous on flexible living space but economical on land use and therefore can be more favourably priced for our customers.

“They are a great option for those looking to trade up to from a two or three-bedroom property, but who can’t perhaps afford a huge jump in price. They offer everything you would expect from a brand new four-bedroom home, but offer a saving compared to more traditional two-storey or detached four-bedroom homes in the area.”

According to figures from home.co.uk* for June, the average asking price for a four-bedroom property in Bristol was £334,438. Comparing very favourably, the Routledge and Caxton homes at Tallstick are priced at just £294,995 and £304,995 respectively.

The Routledge has a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining room on the ground floor together with a separate lounge, laundry room and downstairs cloakroom. On the first floor there are three generous bedrooms and a family bathroom while, tucked away on the top floor in what would normally be the redundant roof space, there is a master bedroom and en suite, providing a haven for parents.

The ground floor of the Caxton boasts an open-plan kitchen / dining room and connecting family room, as well as a cloakroom and additional storage space. Upstairs there’s a spacious lounge and master bedroom with en suite, and on the top floor there are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

The homes are being built to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, which means they include special features designed to keep water and energy usage to a minimum; this will hopefully translate into lower bills for home owners.

Tallsticks is one the individual ‘hamlets’ that make up the new urban village of Cheswick, north of Bristol. Others include The Bowery and Aurora Spring, which feature more traditional looking, mostly detached homes, whilst Tallsticks caters for those wanting something more modern in its approach but still built to the same high quality standards.

In addition to the four-bedroom homes available at Tallsticks, there is a selection of two-bedroom apartments priced from £143,995.

Cheswick is just a few miles from the city centre, close to Parkway train station and within easy reach of the M4 and M5 motorways, so it’s a great location for commuters.
