New York remains popular with UK holidaymakers
New York is one of the top 10 travel destinations for UK travellers looking to this year, according to recent research. New York has always been a top destination for people looking to splash out their travel money on shopping trips, its appearance as only one of two non-european destinations in the top ten of Skyscanner’s Summer Trends 2009 report confirms its popularity with UK travellers, who continue to change their pounds into dollar foreign currency.
To help UK travellers understand how far their travel money will go, the Post Office City Costs Barometer provides UK holidaymakers with a good idea of what to expect from their travel money and how far their foreign currency will go in the Big Apple.
Travellers to New York will find a three-course meal for two costing on average £64.50, according to Post Office Travel Money research. Culture seekers will also need to set aside travel money for the arts, with admission fees to New York’s top art gallery and museum costing £14.33 and £11.47 respectively.
