Churchill enhances customer benefits with new superior courtesy car option

25th September 2006 Print
Churchill Insurance has launched a new enhanced courtesy car option as an addition to its motor insurance package.

As an optional extra, Churchill customers can now opt to have a replacement car that matches, or is of a similar size to their insured car, while their own is off the road.

With the enhanced courtesy car option, customer cars are replaced on a like for like basis with a car of a similar size (body and engine) up to a five door two litre estate car. If a customer’s insured car is an MPV or van then they would be given a replacement Mini MPV or small van while theirs is being repaired following an accident.

This product bolt-on gives customers a little extra peace of mind in the form of a car that suits their needs, when they need it most. The enhanced courtesy car will be particularly beneficial to families or people who require a like for like replacement in order to continue their daily lives.

Frances Browning, spokesperson for Churchill Car Insurance said: “Having to go through the experience of a car accident and subsequently needing to drive a replacement car is traumatic and disrupting enough – especially for motorists, such as parents or salesmen, who rely on their car to survive their daily routines.

“We are giving our customers the option that if they must have a car that matches their lifestyle, then we are able to provide it causing the minimum disruption to them as possible.”

Customers who purchase the new Enhanced Courtesy Car cover can also benefit from £50 per day travel costs up to a maximum of £500, to pay their costs if they are injured during an accident and cannot drive so that they can carry out their normal routines.

The enhanced courtesy car bolt-on is available for as little as £25.20 per annum for customers with comprehensive policies.

Churchill is offering the new enhanced courtesy car to both existing and new customers. In addition, Churchill will still offer a regular courtesy car as standard on all its motor policies, so all Churchill customers still benefit from a replacement car.
