Summer fun for retired residents in Tregony
School may be out but a bunch of ‘young at heart’ fun seekers are set to recreate Sports Day at their retirement village.
Roseland Parc, in Tregony near Truro, is staging its first Summer Fun Day. In a nod to school sports days, residents – and visitors – will be grouped into red, blue, yellow and green teams for the competition on Wednesday 4th August.
They will compete at a number of games including croquet, darts, table skittles and hoopla. Points will be awarded according to places with the winning team being presented with a trophy by village manager Derek Pashley. Lemonade and ice cream will then be served in the pavilion.
Spectators and competitors from the wider community are invited to join in the fun. The games will begin at 2.30pm but the village will be welcoming visitors from 10am when guided tours of the village and the homes for sale will be available.
