USA now more expensive for UK travellers

Prices for UK travellers visiting the USA have gone up 34% in the last two years due to the exchange rate according to iCarhireinsurance.com, provider of low-cost comprehensive car hire insurance.

However travellers to the USA could save 50% on car hire insurance if they bought from icarhireinsurance.com before they went away.

On the 1st July 2008 the Dollar was 1.98 to the Pound and on the 1st July 2010, the Dollar was 1.48 to the Pound. Therefore customers buying car insurance at the rental desk, which costs from $15** a day, would be charged around £106.06 for a two week holiday in 2008. On the 1st July 2010, customers would have been charged around £141.89, an increase of £35.83.
